Young or old, Halloween is a holiday that brings out the fantasy and wonder, the first chance for children to dress up like a hero or a princess, become an animal or character just for a small period of time.

If you don't think Halloween is an event for adults, just look at the yards decorated around town. Halloween allows adults to get in the "spirit" of becoming something different, at least for a few days each year. Webster City has a tremendous line -up of activities starting tonight, so get out your costumes and be prepared to be scared….or at least a little startled.

The first event is sponsored by the Webster City Chamber of Commerce with the downtown Trick or Treating event. The event will kick off at 4 p.m. and conclude at 6 p.m. The downtown streets will be closed between Des Moines and Seneca St., allowing the masqueraders to go throughout the downtown safely.
