Wear your comfy sleeping garments to help celebrate Homecoming Week today. There is a different theme each day for students, teachers and staff to enjoy. Don’t be sleeping on the job at school….but it's Pajama Day today.
Blood Drive Thursday at VDMC
The Webster City community blood drive is scheduled for Thursday from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.
This will be held in the Van Diest Medical Center Clinic board room, located at 2350 Hospital Drive.
Appointments are encouraged by calling 1-800-287-4903. Walk-ins are also welcome.
Those who donate blood will receive a scooter's cookie and a 20% coupon for the Hospital Gift Shop.
Legion annual Chili and Cinnamon Rolls fundraiser for Homecoming is Friday
Friday night the annual Chili and Cinnamon Rolls fundraiser for the American Legion 191 will be held at the Legion Hall located at 726 2nd St. in Webster City. There will be meals available in the south alley for drive-through pickup.
Food will be ready at 4:30 p.m., right after the Homecoming parade. The raises funds for all the Legion projects including the Avenue of Flags, Boys State and scholarships to name a few of their projects.
Block Party Thursday on Seneca St.
Legacy Learning-Boone River Valley and the Produce Station Pottery, will be co-sponsoring a block party on Seneca St. starting at 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Mojo productions will DJ a free event for the public in the 700 block of Seneca St. All are invited to enjoy the music, food and dancing.
Kendall Young Library schedules special meeting tonight
The Kendall Young Library board will have a meeting tonight at 7 p.m. to review the Custodian bids and contracts.
