It\'s a great day to prepare for Homecoming week

WCHS Homecoming seek parade entries

From themed events, Boom night, the King and Queen coronation, Homecoming parade, football game and dance Saturday, the week of October 5-10 will have the Webster City schools over the top excited for the 2026 Homecoming events.

Businesses and community members full of Lynx pride can participate with the Homecoming parade, which begins Friday, Oct. 9 at 2:30 p.m. by building a float, decorating a vehicle or participating in some other way. All entries need to be noon-political and submitted by Wednesday Oct. 7 at 3:30 p.m.

Fall Festival Saturday at Faith United Methodist Church

The annual fall festival will be held Saturday Oct. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

From 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. they will be serving warm caramel rolls and apple dumplings. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., there will be a beef burger lunch.

The Faith United Methodist church is located at 2020 Superior St in Webster City.

The Fall festival will include baked goods, canned goods, crafts, seasonal items, quilts and other homemade items.

Block Party Thursday on Seneca St.

Mojo Productions will provide the music for a block party in the 700 block of Seneca St. on Thursday, Oct. 8. Music, food and dancing will be the focus for the event.

This is a free event for the public, sponsored by Legacy Learning- Boone River Valley and the Production Station Pottery.

Depot museum open today and Saturday

The Illinois Central Depot museum will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. today and Saturday. The museum is part of the Wilson Brewer Park complex located at 220 Ohio St.
