The Van Diest Medical Center, in partnership with the Iowa Central Community College Culinary Program, will present a cooking event where whole foods come together in flavorful recipes to be recreated at home.
Participants will enjoy a delicious meal of roasted vegetables with potatoes, lentils and herb pesto coconut dressing, vegetable stir-fry, and a dessert of fresh pineapple and mango with warm spiced honey syrup and coconut lime cream.
The Eat Well, Live Well Cooking Event will be held Tuesday, October 13, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City and will feature Geoffrey Phillipson, Associate Culinary Instructor at ICCC, Dr. Subhash Sahai, VDMC Dietitian Kristi Zwiefel and VDMC Health Coach Ashley Bubeck.
Those in attendance will enjoy a delightful meal, receive recipes and take-home tips, as well as inspiration to incorporate fresher, wholesome ingredients into everyday meals.
