Applications for the 2026 Gift Tree Program (formerly Angel Tree) need to be turned in by Thursday, Oct. 29. The Gift Tree Program's mission is to help families in need provide Christmas gifts for their children who are 18 years old and younger.
If involved with this program in the past, note that there are some changes made to the Gift Tree Program. Eligibility for the program will now be based on income guidelines, and Upper Des Moines Opportunity will process all applications. The 2026 suggested spending limit is $100 per child, so please adjust your child's wish list accordingly.
Applications can be picked up at Upper Des Moines Opportunity, 1610 Collins St., Suite 4, Webster City and returned to Upper Des Moines Opportunity as soon as possible. No applications will be accepted after October 29.
There will be multiple designated gift pick-up sites, therefore applications must have reliable contact information so that applicants can be contacted with the pick-up location of their gifts. The pick-up date for gifts will be Sunday, December 13, from 2-4 p.m., or by prior arrangement.
