NOLAN FABER
Webster City Middle School – Special Education
Nolan Faber is a graduate of Roland-Story High School in Story City, IA. He earned his degree in Physical Education from Buena Vista University. He completed most of his observation in the Storm Lake area and finished with his student teaching back home in Roland-Story Community School District. He has also done some substitute teaching at Roland-Story in their Special Education Department. This year he will be teaching Special Education at Webster City Middle School.
His parents are Steve and Jenny Faber and he has three younger siblings named Reagan, Cael, and Abby. He is a big sports fan, and his favorite teams are the Dodgers, the Dolphins, and the Iowa State Cyclones. His family has two dogs – Jack and Abby. He enjoys playing video games, watching movies, and hanging out with friends. He's been an assistant baseball coach at his former high school in Roland-Story for the last five years. He is most excited about meeting people in the community and getting to know his fellow teachers in the building and within the district.
ARRIN LURA
Riverview + St. Thomas – 4-Year-Old Preschool
Arrin Lura is a graduate of Webster City High School. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree with endorsements in both Early Childhood, and Early Childhood Special Education from Buena Vista University. She has been a paraeducator with the Webster City Community School District since 2021 and worked at both the Pleasant View Elementary and Sunset Heights Elementary schools. She also works for the Duncombe Public Library as their Children's and Programming Librarian. On top of her position in Duncombe, she will be teaching 4-Year-Old preschool at both Riverview and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School.
Arrin spends a lot of time with her family. They like to play games or work on puzzles, watch movies, and go fishing. When she gets a rare moment to herself, you can find her with a good book, hitting a concert, crocheting, or walking the aisles of Target. She has great associates at both buildings and she said the other preschool teachers she has met have been incredible. She is most excited to meet her kids.
