With funding from the Iowa 4-H Foundation, the Hamilton County Clover Kids had the opportunity to give back to children in Hamilton County through a hands-on service project benefiting the local hospital. Youth worked together to assemble 73 care packages for children staying in the hospital.
Each package included coloring books, crayons, activity kits, stickers, and other items designed to provide comfort, encouragement, and a positive distraction during their hospital stay.
The Iowa 4-H Foundation's support provided the resources needed for Clover Kids to complete this meaningful service project. This project was conducted at South Hamilton schools and in the Extension office in Webster City.
Through their involvement, the Hamilton County Clover Kids learned the importance of helping others and saw firsthand how a small act of kindness can make a meaningful difference. The 73 care packages provided children at the hospital with activities to enjoy while reminding them that their community cares about them.
This project allowed Clover Kids to put the 4-H values of service, caring, and leadership into action while making a positive impact in their community.
