Wildcat Distilling Ribbon cutting today
The Wildcat Distilling Company will be held today at their new location at 713 2nd St.
The ribbon cutting is the kick-off to their grand opening weekend, which kicks off on Friday
The Wildcat is open Thursdays 4 to 9 p.m. and Fridays from 4 to 10 p.m. and Saturdays from 1 to 10 p.m.
Their Grand Opening will officially be Saturday, Sept. 26.
Town and Country Garden Club meets today
The Town and Country Garden Club will hold an open meeting today, inviting new residents and non-members to join and learn more about what they do throughout the year.
This meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the newest shelter in the West Twin Parks. Polly Hayes of Polly's Garden Center will be talking about mums. There will also be a plant, seed and bulb exchange.
Everyone is welcome to learn more about the club and the gardening tips they share throughout the year.
Depot museum open Friday and Saturday
The historic Illinois Central Depot museum will be open on both Friday and Saturday.
The museum is located within the Wilson Brewer Park and will be open on Friday and Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. each day.
Parking is available at 220 Ohio Street. The depot museum is positioned along Superior St., accessible from either the east or west door.
Drive-through hamball dinner Sunday
The Alden United Methodist Church will hold a Drive through Hamball dinner next weekend.
The dinner will be on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or until all the food is gone. The dinner includes hamballs, cheesy potatoes and green beans. The cost is a free will donation that goes to the church.
The Alden United Methodist Church is located at 1512 Hardin St.
