Women's Club meets today at 12:30 p.m. at park
Today the Webster City Woman's Club will meet at 12:30 p.m. at the new shelter at West Twin Park. This is a potluck lunch, so those attending should bring a salad or dessert to share. Plates, silverware, napkins and water will be provided. Friends and spouses are welcome.
The program is "Doodlebug 40th Anniversary" by Gerald Huisman and friends.
Any woman in Hamilton County is welcome to come.
Fenton avenue closed today
The Hamilton County Engineers office is announcing a 2 mile closure this afternoon on Fenton Avenue in Hamilton County.
Fenton Avenue (R-27) will be closed to thru traffic from 370th St. to 390th St. today from approximately 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Hamilton County Road Department requests travelers use an alternative route during this time period.
"Grounds for Service" coffee to be held Sept. 23
The Hamilton County Veterans Affairs office is hosting a coffee on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the Hamilton County Courthouse. The coffee begins at 8:30 a.m.
This will be held in the basement meeting room, located at 2300 Superior St. in Webster City.
All veterans are invited to attend. A presentation will be held about the local service chapters in addition to a new event that will be hosted in this area for veterans.
