Webster City High School to close early Wednesday
Webster City High School will dismiss at 1:13 p.m. Wednesday due to the forecast of high heat and the impact of high temperatures inside of the school building.
The school administration will continue to evaluate weather conditions and expected temperatures on a day-by-day basis. This will be communicated with families if additional adjustments become necessary later in the week.
The administration encourages everyone to remain flexible and understanding as they work together to provide the best possible environment for our students and staff during the heat.

Bounce On Into the Library is Thursday
The Kendall Young Library will host a two hour special program to celebrate the new school year on Thursday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Families and friends are invited to gather for outdoor fun, with multiple inflatable obstacle courses, outdoor yard games, hot dogs and snacks.
It is also a perfect time to get a new library card, or to renew an old one, in addition to reviewing all the things the library has to offer. This is a free event and open to all.
Day Okay Jazz Project Garden Party to be Saturday night.
The Richard C. Carlson Garden, located at 720 Second St. will be the site of the fourth performance of the Day Okay Jazz Project Saturday.
This will begin at 7 p.m. The public is invited to bring food, snacks, beverages and lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
This is a free event, but donations are encouraged which will go to LIFT WC to help with the cost and maintenance of the garden. The donation box will be in front of the band.
The Garden Party should run from 7 to 10 p.m.
