Welcome Wednesday – new teachers

CALEB OLSON

Northeast Hamilton Elementary – Physical Education; Webster City Middle School – Health

Caleb Olson is a graduate of Webster City High School. He has earned his degree in K-12 Physical Education from the University of Northern Iowa. He taught 9-12 alternative school and P.E. at Eagle Grove High School for the past two years. This year, he will be teaching PE at Northeast Hamilton Elementary and Physical and Financial Health at Webster City Middle School.

Caleb has been married for two years. His wife and he have a nine-month old son named Royce. In his free time, he loves to golf, fish and just be outside. He is a fan of the Green Bay Packers and cheers for both Iowa and Iowa State (but on CyHawk Game Day, he wears red!). He is most excited to be able to teach in the same school he grew up in. He is looking forward to getting to know all of the staff and faculty.

NATALIE FELTS

Pleasant View Elementary – 1st Grade

Natalie Felts is a graduate of Webster City High School. She has her degree in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Northern Iowa. She taught at Eagle Grove Elementary and taught special education, kindergarten and was a Student Success Specialist. This year she is a 1st grade teacher at Pleasant View Elementary School.

Natalie is married to Cade, and they have a baby boy named Knox who just turned one this summer. She enjoys spending time outdoors, taking her dog, Koe, for walks and spending time with family and friends. Dance is a huge passion of hers, and she also teaches dance classes at The Dance Connection. She is most excited to teach in her hometown and be able to build relationships with her students, their families, and people in the community.

CHELSEA KNIGHTS

Northeast Hamilton Elementary – Special Education

Chelsea Knights is a graduate of Mason City High School. She earned her degree from the University of Northern Iowa as an Instructional Strategist 1 and 2 (Elementary Classroom), and Reading. She has taught Special Education at a few small schools around Iowa, and this year she will teach K-6 Special Education at Northeast Hamilton Elementary.

Chelsea is most excited to get to meet and work with her students and families.
