Downtown Webster City will come alive again tonight from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for another evening of Webster City Market Nights, bringing the community together to shop, eat, connect and support local businesses.
This week's Market Nights will feature Dogtown Rhythm Band performing live on the Availa Bank Plaza Stage, with Mornin' Glory Coffee serving as the stage sponsor. The Trashman, an LJP Company, is also a proud sponsor of Market Nights.
Double Youth Produce Bucks!
Families have an extra reason to bring the kids downtown this week! Youth Produce Bucks will be doubled for every child who comes downtown to Market Nights.
Children can use their Produce Bucks directly with participating produce vendors to choose fresh, locally produced foods, including:
Fresh vegetables
Fresh fruit
Eggs
Local honey
The Youth Produce Bucks program gives children the opportunity to choose their own fresh foods while introducing them to local growers and showing them where their food comes from.
Farm Credit Services of America and Farm Bureau have generously sponsored the Youth Produce Bucks program all summer and have helped make fresh, locally grown food more accessible to area children.
"We want families to come downtown together and experience everything Market Nights has to offer," said Robin Streigle. "Doubling the Youth Produce Bucks is a fun way to get fresh local food into kids' hands while also supporting the growers who bring their produce downtown each week. Let your kids pick out some vegetables, fruit, eggs or honey, enjoy the music, grab supper and spend the evening supporting Webster City."
Food, Music & Shopping Downtown
Come hungry! Food trucks scheduled for the evening include Main Scoop, Feed Shack, Quick + Fresh, Loudi's, Hy-Vee Grill, El Taco Riendo, Kona Ice and Catherine's Crazy Kettle Corn.
Downtown restaurants will also be open, including Mornin' Glory Coffee, Leon's Pizza and La Perla Jarocha Mexican Restaurant.
While downtown, visitors are encouraged to make a night of it and visit local businesses such as Country Twist Boutique, Rustic Daisy, ACE Hardware and many more.
Whether you come for the fresh produce, live music, food trucks, local restaurants, shopping or simply an evening with neighbors and friends, Market Nights is about celebrating what makes Webster City special.
Come downtown, bring the kids for double Youth Produce Bucks, enjoy Dogtown Rhythm Band, grab something to eat and help us support local and love our small town.
