State of Education panel discussion today
The Hamilton County Growth Partnerships annual State of Education panel will be held today at the Briggs Woods Conference Center.
This begins at 11:45 a.m. and concludes at 1 p.m. The Briggs Woods Conference Center is located at 2501 Briggs Woods Trail.
Matt Berninghaus, superintendent of Webster City Community Schools, Heather Holm, South Hamilton superintendent and Jesse Ulrich President of Iowa Central Community College will update those attending on their past year and future plans.
Angel Ride is Saturday
The annual Angel Tree Ride WC will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday. Registration is at The American Tap, and Grama's Diner will be serving breakfast from that location, payments are to be made in cash only. Any cash donations and items donated for the auction raises money for Christmas gifts for the Angel Tree project in Webster City. The Ride begins officially at 10:30 a.m.
School calendars available September 1
The Webster City Community School calendar will be available on Tuesday, September 1. These have been delayed due to unforeseen issues. These are not inserted in the Daily Freeman Journal.
After school programs at Kendall Young Library
Cookies, Scoops and Books will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Friday at the Kendall Young Library in the Children's Department.
On Monday the afterschool program at the library will be a mini-makerspace from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Flower arranging with Tyler Burton will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Kendall Young Library on Monday also. This program is geared for high school youth and adults.
