Public Health Immunization clinic today
An Immunization Clinic will be held this afternoon at the Hamilton County Health Department.
This is located at 1610 Collins St., Suite 1, (Sashi Station) and staff will help direct them to the immunization station.
Appointments are helpful, as many are already scheduled, so call for appointments at 515-832-9565. There will also be additional immunization clinics that will be held on September 3 and September 23 for back to school immunizations.
For measles immunizations, if not sure of the immunization status, the MMR shot, which covers Measles, Mumps and Rubella, a phone call is necessary to get further determination of need. The phone number is 515-832-9565.
Homer Cemetery and Neese Cemetery walk to be Sept. 1
Hamilton County naturalist, John Laird will explore the history, nature and conservation of the Homer cemetery and the Neese cemetery on Tuesday Sept. 1.
The tour will begin at the Homer cemetery and then move to the Neese cemetery. Comfortable shoes, water and a camera are recommended for participants.

Education panel discussion to be Thursday
The Hamilton County Growth partnership hosts its second annual State of Education eent Thursday from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Briggs Woods Conference Center.
The Conference Center is located at 2501 Briggs Woods Trail.
Panel members include Matt Berninghaus of Webster City Community Schools, Heather Holm of the South Hamilton Community Schools and Jesse Ulrich of Iowa Central Community College. They will discuss the progress of their school systems in the past year and future plans. A question and answer session will follow the panel discussion.
