Jane Young House open this Saturday

The Webster City Women's Club invites you to the Jane Young House, 629 Elm St, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday to view the clothing exhibit and house.

The clothing exhibit highlights fashions from 1947, Happy Birthday America, and a collection of clothing from former and current retail stores in Webster City. Another room is dedicated to the history of the Women's Club. There is a lot of history and a beautiful house to view.

A free will donation is appreciated and the Jane Young House is handicapped accessible.

Depot museum open Friday and Saturday

The Illinois Central Depot museum located in the Wilson Brewer Park will be open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday this week.

Located at 220 Ohio St., in Webster City, the museum contains artifacts from local collections and historical items specific to Webster City and Hamilton County.

There is no set fee to go through the museum, but donations are welcome and appreciated.Jane Young House open this Saturday

Final meeting onHigh School Facilities Tuesday

The final public information meeting on the Webster City HIgh School facilities will be held at 6 p.m. at the Prem Sahai Auditorium.

The public will be asked to vote at the special election on Sept. 8 to give the financial support it needs to move forward. The architects from FEH will b e in attendance for this session. The public is invited to come and ask questions and get more information on the project.

Webster City Community Schools begin Monday

School buses and students will be congregating at the schools next week, as the first day of classes commence on Monday. Please be aware of changes in the traffic flow, and be cautious where children are heading for their schools.
