Hotel Motel Tax Board to hear presentations Wednesday

The Hotel/Motel tax board for the city of Webster City will meet Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the City Council chambers. They will hear presentations from recipients from last year’s grant recipients and consider new requests for funding during this meeting

The City Council chambers are located at 400 Second St. in the Webster City City hall.

Presentations will be heard from the following organizations that received grant funds in 2025

Arts R Alive – Webster City downtown sculptures

Kendall Young Library – Rebranding and marketing for library designation

The DUB Sports Park – Indoor athletic facility

Wilson Brewer Park & Depot Foundation – Sign, ADA bathrooms, train

In addition new requests will be presented by

Briggs Woods Briggs Woods for Walleye Restocking

Kendall Young Library for the Phase 2 Marketing Campaign

Wilson Brewer Park & Depot Foundation for the Depot Museum

Jane Young House exhibits open Saturday

Webster City--The Webster City Women's Club invites you to the Jane Young House, 629 Elm St, Webster City on Saturday, August 22 from 10:00-3:00 to view their new clothing exhibit and house. The clothing exhibit highlights fashions from 1947, Happy Birthday America, and a collection of clothing from former and current retail stores in Webster City. Another room is dedicated to the history of the Women's Club. Lots of history and a beautiful house to view. A free will donation is appreciated and it is handicapped accessible

Hotel/Motel tax board to meet Thursday

The Hotel Motel tax board will meet on Thursday, August 20 in the City Council Chambers at the City Hall in Webster City.

The city hall is located at 400 Second St. in Webster City. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to determine the final recommendations on projects and funding level to be presented to the city council.
