Wilson Brewer Park Museum open Friday
The Illinois Central Depot museum located in the Wilson Brewer Park will be open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday this week.
Located at 220 Ohio Street, the museum contains artifacts from local collections and historical items specific to Webster City and Hamilton County.
National Night Out rescheduled for next Tuesday
The National Night out has been rescheduled for next Tuesday at the West Twin Park. The West Twin park is located at 1100 Superior St. in Webster City.
The National Night Out is a family event designed to meet, greet and enjoy the Hamilton County First Responders who help keep us safe throughout the year. It begins at 5 p.m. and will continue until 7 p.m.
Women's Club to meet Monday
The next meeting of the Webster City Woman's Club will be Monday at 1:30 p.m.at the Jane Young House, located at 629 Elm St, Webster City, Iowa
The greeter will be Kay Klaver and refreshments will be served by Donna Foster, Janna Heater, Lindsay McCormick-Welch and Patricia Rieck
The program is "250 Amazing American Women" presented by Val Rickert

Sales Tax holiday begins today
Iowa's Annual Sales Tax Holiday will take place Friday and Saturday, exempting clothing and footwear purchases under $100 from the state's 6% sales tax and 1% local option sales taxes.
The event is designed to encourage local shoppers, and lighten the expense of items needed for the school year.
