2 min read

The Enhance Hamilton County Foundation, in partnership with Hamilton County Growth Partnership, will host a workshop called "Funding Your Next Project" on Wednesday, September 9, at 5 p.m. at the Briggs Woods Conference Center.

The workshop is designed for nonprofits, community organizations, committees, local leaders, and project organizers interested in learning more about funding resources and strategies to help move community projects forward.

"We often hear from organizations and community groups looking for funding options, grant opportunities, and guidance on how to strengthen their projects," said Darcy Swon, Executive Director of the Enhance Hamilton County Foundation. "This workshop is an opportunity to bring several resources together in one place and help local leaders better understand what support may be available."

The workshop will feature information on statewide and regional grant opportunities, economic development programs, telco grant resources, Foundation grants and charitable funds, and practical guidance on fundraising and capital campaigns.

Featured presenters include:

Ethan Pitt, Iowa Area Development Group

Sacha Wise, Iowa Economic Development Authority

Monica Haberman, Platinum Connect

Mark Palmer, consultant specializing in capital campaigns and fundraising

Darcy Swon, Enhance Hamilton County Foundation

The workshop builds on a similar program held two years ago that was well received by attendees. This year's event will provide updated information and additional resources for organizations working to strengthen communities throughout Hamilton County.

Those planning to attend are asked to reserve a seat by emailing dswon@enhancehamiltoncounty.org with their name and the organization(s) they are representing.

Reservations may also be made online at enhancehamiltoncounty.org/sept-9.
