The West Twin Park was alive Thursday night during the official opening and welcoming of this years sculptures.
This annual event is hosted by Arts R Alive. The event was also supported with refreshments served with help from the Webster City evening Rotary Club.
The artwork on display in the park includes Crossroads by Jon Kamrath of Minnesota, Rudbeckia by Tim Adams of Webster City, Eyes of Wonder by Sondra Jonson of Nebraska, The Violinist by Osamede Obazee, Reeds by Bobie Carlyle, The Guardian by Ryan an James Pedersen of Minnesota, Nexus by Dn Perry, Lovers and their Spritis by Gedion Nyanhongo of Ohio and Monkey Business by Alex Zamesin.
Downtown additional sculptures are on display, Northern Sea Oats by Tim Adams, When in Doubt Wear Red by Greg Mendez and Asteria by Tim Adams.
Most of this artwork rotates once each year to different communities. There are some permanent pieces throughout the city. In total there are 38 different sculptures throughout the community.
These sculptures are provided through the support of the Webster City Hotel/Motel tax grants in addition to private donations.
