National Hire a Veteran Day is July 25.

Job Fair starts at 10 a.m. today

A job fair for veterans is being held today at the Fort Dodge IANG Armory from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Armory is located at 1659 Nelson Avenue.

The Job Fair is being held in partnership with the Iowa Work Center as part of the National Hire a Veteran Day promotion, which is Saturday, July 25.

Robert Haege III is the Home Base Iowa Program Manager for IowaWORKS. He said the following businesses are planning to be at the Job Fair.

VA-Central Iowa Healthcare System, Smithfield Foods, Decker Truck Line, Inc., City of Fort Dodge, CJ Bio America, Koch Fertilizer, Proteus Silgan Containers, NEW Cooperative, Prestage Foods, Storm Lake Radio, Cargill, A-1 Medical Staffing and USG.

The Job Fair event coordinators reserves the first hour, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for Veterans and service members. Families, spouses and the general public are welcome to attend after that first hour.
