Market nights celebrates the classics
Hopes are high for a dry Market night this week, as the Classic Car exhibit lines up to show off their finest in downtown Webster City.
Market Nights continue tonight from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in downtown Webster City.
Last week Market nights had to be cancelled, when torrents of rain forced the exhibitors to close up before they had fully unpacked their wares. There were a number of special activities that had been planned which may be rescheduled later.
“We are working on new dates for the events from last week,” said Robin Streigel, who organizes the Market Nights for the Chamber of Commerce.
“I don’t have dates for some activities that we had to cancel,” Steigel said, “The tractors and Doodlebugs are rescheduled for August 27.”
Streigel said that they will be announcing rescheduled activities when they are confirmed.
Tonight those attending will find the classic car exhibit in the 700 block of Second St. Trophies will be presented at 7:20 p.m. in front of the American Legion. The car show is sponsored by Karl Webster City.
Live music will be provided by Rod Johnson, which is being sponsored by Gerber Auto Care.
