Hamilton County Fair Queen crowned at Grandstand last night

18 year old Sophia Nibe was crowned the 2026 Hamilton County Fair Queen at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds last night after the fair parade last evening.
Nibe is the daughter of Daniel and Jennifer Nibe of Ellsworth. She attended South Hamilton High School in Jewell, and plans to attend the University of Iowa to major in health sciences, with a plan to become a pediatric occupational therapist.
Nibe spent two years on the State 4-H Council, serving as the chair of the Educational Impact Committee. She has been a member of the Clear Lake Sailors 4-H club, and served on the Hamilton County 4-H council.
Although a busy 4-H member, she also found time to serve as drum major for the South Hamilton High School marching band for two years, was involved in FFA, FCCLA, FBLA, band, choir, theatre, speech, cheerleading, dance and the golf team.
In her free time, she enjoys golfing, playing pickleball, crafts, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.
Queen Sophia will represent Hamilton County at the Iowa State Fair in August.
