Webster City’s outdoor swimming pool closed

Due to broken glass found in the pool, the outdoor swimming pool is closed.

The pool is being drained, and will be thoroughly swept and cleaned to remove glass particles.

Those who use the pool are reminded that no glass bottles or goggles are permitted in the swimming pool.

There is no date set for the pool to re-open.

Women’s Club meets today at Career Ag Academy

The Webster City Women’s Club meets today at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds in the Career Ag Academy instead of the Jane Young House.

The meeting begins at 1:30 p.m. The Fairgrounds are located at 1200 Bluff St., Webster City.

All women from the county are invited to attend.

School Board meeting tonight at 6 p.m.

The Webster City board of education will meet Monday night for their regularly scheduled meeting.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the administration office, located at 820 Des Moines St.

Among other regular items included on the agenda is the 28E agreement with Iowa Central Community College, contract and leases, the 2026-2027 AEA Services agreement and the THRIVE Academy agreement.

Action items are the approval of a construction management agreement, revenue purpose statement, multiple policies, 2026-27 breakfast and lunch prices.

County Supervisors to meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday

The Hamilton County Supervisors have their regular bi-monthly meeting on Tuesday at 9 a.m.

The meeting will be held in the basement of the Hamilton County Courthouse, located at 2300 Superior St.
