Century celebration of Bell's Mill park is Saturday

The Hamilton County Conservation board celebrates the 100th year since land was donated to create the Bell's Mill park.

The park will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Activities will be going on throughout the day along with a corn hole tournament and music. The park has camping facilities canoeing and kayaking on the Boone River, and an open air shelter available.

At 2 p.m. a history of the park will be presented.

The park is located at 3100 Bell's Mill Road, located approximately six miles north and east of Stratford.

Vendor Fair fundraiser hosted by Empower Nutrition to benefit the Cat Hut

Two Webster City businesses are joining together to raise money for the Cat Hut on Saturday, August 1. The event will be held at Empower Nutrition located at 806 Seneca St. in Webster City.

Vendors will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, with donations going to The Cat Hut.

Garden party to continue Saturday at 7 p.m.

The free open air performance of the Day Okay Jazz Project will offer their third helping of community engagement, with music enhancing the Richard C. Carlson Garden, located in the center of the 700 block.

The music begins at 7 p.m. and will continue until 10 p.m.
