Market Nights return tonight to downtown Webster City
It’s back.
Market Nights, one of the most successful downtown chamber events returns tonight with more music, more vendors and a lot of enthusiasm.
Starting at 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., Market Nights have produce, products and performances thoughout the evening.
Tonight will introduce a new special evening, featuring “Youth Entrepreneur Night.” This will allow the community to meet and encourage the young innovators and future business owners a chance to show off their products and services, and allow them to learn first hand how to present and market their items.
New this year also is the addition of the Webster City Community Theatre troupe, who will provide entertainment with two short skits. The theatrical group has a wonderful reputation for putting on a great show, whether drama, comedy or musical.
After the theatre performance, Spencer Suchan will provide live music to entertain while the vendors are selling their wares.
Arts R Alive will also be hosting an interactive art project, and a drawing will be held from the Chamber of Commerce booth for tickets to attend an Iowa Cubs game. This is being sponsored by KQWC Radio. Hamilton County Conservation will also present a mammal exhibit during the evening.
Returning events include the Doodle Bug and Tractor display, the PEO Pie-eating contest, the Market Nights in a Box, and the Youth Produce Program.
“Market Nights is all about bringing our community together,” said Robin Streigle of the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce. “Whether you’re coming for the food, music, local shopping, family activities, or simply to enjoy a beautiful summer evening downtown, there’s something for everyone. We’re especially excited to showcase our youth entrepreneurs and help support the next generation of business leaders.”
So grab your pocketbook, and a few friends, and make Market night a night to remember.
Market Nights are free to attend and take place throughout the summer in downtown Webster City. Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to bring their families, invite their friends, and experience everything Webster City has to offer.
