With the purchase of a cookie, children and adults were able to view the exhibits provided by Wild Adventures.

Wild Adventures was exactly what it seemed, as their “smart zoo” presented an afternoon of wonder for hundreds of children and adults on Tuesday

“It was excellent,” said Ryan Rupiper, organizer from the Wilson Brewer Park Foundation.

Rupiper was impressed with the various exhibits and had several favorites.

The most unique thing about the zoo was the snake that blew fog and the dinosaur eggs that had moving dinosaurs inside the eggs were the most interesting part of the display.

Despite the cold, and rain overnight, the attendance was deemed outstanding.

“I would say there were 300 people for sure,” said Rupipe. “It was busy pretty much non-stop, and right after school it was really busy.”

The setup had to be moved into the parking area adjacent to the park, with wet grass and muddy conditions. But it didn’t keep people away.

“Anything to get people down to Wilson Brewer Park,” said Rupiper. “It’s something different and unique for Webster City.Hopefully we will do this again next year.”

The Wilson Brewer park and depot museum will be open this Friday and Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. with the historic buildings and their collections available to be viewed.

Starting at $3.46/week.
