Webster City Market Nights Kicks Off June 4 with “We Are Webster City” theme

The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce invites the community to kick off another exciting season of Market Nights on Thursday, June 4, with this year’s opening theme: “We Are Webster City.”

Held in downtown Webster City, Market Nights brings together local businesses, vendors, families, and visitors for an evening filled with shopping, food, entertainment, and hometown connection. The kickoff night will celebrate everything that makes Webster City special–from its people and businesses to the strong sense of community that defines the area.

“This theme is all about hometown pride,” said Chamber representatives. “It’s a chance to highlight what makes Webster City unique and to celebrate the people who help make this community such a great place to live and gather.”

Market Nights will feature a variety of activities and attractions, including:

Local vendors offering produce and handmade goods

Food trucks and downtown shopping specials

A welcoming, family-friendly community atmosphere

Entertainment will include young local musician Spencer Sachan, performing in the Availa Bank Plaza, adding a fresh and local sound to the evening’s celebration.

A special Kids Entrepreneurial Night will also be featured, giving young community members the opportunity to dream, create, and showcase their handmade goods and projects for sale. It’s a chance for kids to experience entrepreneurship in a fun and supportive environment.

Vendors interested in participating–especially those offering fresh produce or handmade items–are encouraged to register online through the Chamber website at:

Youth Produce Project returns to Market Nights each Thursday this summer

The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the return of the Youth Produce Project for the 2026 Market Nights season, made possible through the generous support of co-sponsors Farm Credit Services of America and Iowa Farm Bureau Federation.

Thanks to increased sponsorship funding this year, the program will double its reach, allowing more children in the community to participate while continuing to support local farmers and promote access to fresh, healthy foods. Children get to shop directly from local vendors for items like fresh fruits and vegetables, honey, microgreens, and even eggs.

The Youth Produce Project is open to all children ages 18 and under. Each week during Market Nights, participants will take part in a hands-on agricultural learning activity and receive $5 in “Produce Bucks” to spend on fresh produce from local vendors. This is limited to the first 50 children each week.

The program booth will be located near the Chamber office during Market Nights, which will be held Thursdays from June 4 through August 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.. Please note there will be no Market Night on July 23 due to the Hamilton County Fair.

“This program continues to be a meaningful way to connect youth with agriculture while supporting our local growers,” said Robin Streigle, Events and Office Coordinator at the Webster City Area Chamber. “We are incredibly thankful to Farm Credit Services of America and the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation and local Farm Bureau agent Greg Littlejohn for their investment in our community and the next generation.”

The Youth Produce Project reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the local food system, supporting agricultural education, and ensuring that all children have access to nutritious food options.
