It is a little dark, a little scary, but the music and talent on the Webster City High School stage this weekend will be certain to brighten moods of all attending “The Addams Family” musical comedy.
The first public performance is at 7 p.m. on Friday night at 1201 Lynx Ave., at the Webster City High School. The entrance to the Prem Sahai Auditorium is on the north side of the school building.
The students create an air of mystery, mischief, and plenty of laughs as they present their best interpretations of the characters on stage for this musical comedy based on the beloved characters created by Charles Addams.
Directed by Candace Ruby, this production features a talented cast of student performers supported by a dedicated creative team, including choreographer Lindsey Henderson, music director Aaron McCullough and technical director Dave Parrott.
Audiences of all ages should enjoy this whimsical and slightly spooky story, which follows Wednesday Addams as she navigates love, family, and the challenges of growing up–much to the surprise of her delightfully unconventional family. With catchy music by Andrew Lippa and a witty script by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, The Addams Family promises an evening of laughter, heart, and unforgettable entertainment.
