Birdie Young to headline JunqueFest as featured artist in downtown Webster City
The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that Birdie Young of Hideaway Honey is the featured musical artist at this year’s JunqueFest.
JunqueFest will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 23 in downtown Webster City.
Known as the “Queen BEE” of Hideaway Honey, Young is “buzzing” onto the JunqueFest stage with a sound that’s as bold as it is unforgettable.
An international award-winning songwriter, author, and Nashville recording artist, Young blends ’90s country, classic rock, pop, and folk into a signature Americana style that feels both nostalgic and fresh.
Drawing inspiration from heartland roots, gravel roads, and horse show arenas across the country, her music delivers sweet lyrics with a sting of powerful hooks — a combination that continues to captivate audiences wherever she performs.
“Birdie Young brings an energy and authenticity that fits perfectly with the spirit of JunqueFest,” said Chamber representatives. “Her sound is vibrant, soulful, and full of personality — something we know attendees are going to love.”
JunqueFest will feature three blocks of vendors, offering a wide variety of vintage finds, handmade goods, boutique shopping, and unique treasures.
In addition, attendees can enjoy a Food Truck Festival, live entertainment throughout the day, and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere that makes it one of the most anticipated events of the season.
With Memorial Day weekend kicking off, JunqueFest offers the perfect opportunity to stay local and celebrate without leaving town.
Families, friends, and visitors are encouraged to spend the day exploring downtown, supporting small businesses, and enjoying live music and great food.
Young will perform alongside other talented musicians throughout the day, including Spencer Suchan Music in front of Country Twist Boutique, The Cigar Man in front of Lotus Treasures, creating a lively soundtrack for an event filled with shopping, food, and community connection.
