WCHS students present The Addams Family at Prem Sahai Auditorium next week

The stage at Prem Sahai Auditorium will soon come alive with mystery, mischief, and plenty of laughs as Webster City High School students present “The Addams Family,” a musical comedy based on the beloved characters created by Charles Addams.

Directed by Candace Ruby, this production features a talented cast of student performers supported by a dedicated creative team, including choreographer Lindsey Henderson, music director Aaron McCullough, and technical director Dave Parrott.

Audiences of all ages are invited to enjoy this whimsical and slightly spooky story, which follows Wednesday Addams as she navigates love, family, and the challenges of growing up –much to the surprise of her delightfully unconventional family. With catchy music by Andrew Lippa and a witty script by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, The Addams Family promises an evening of laughter, heart and unforgettable entertainment.

“This show is such a fun opportunity for our students to showcase their creativity and talent,” said director, Candace Ruby. “It’s full of energy, humor, and heart — and we hope the community comes out to support these incredible young performers.”

In addition to being a crowd-pleasing production, the musical highlights the hard work and dedication of students both on stage and behind the scenes. From acting and singing to lighting, sound, and set construction, the production represents a true collaborative effort.

The show is family-friendly and a great way to introduce younger audiences to the excitement of live theatre.
