Ribbon cutting ceremony Friday marks completion of Reisner Substation

The celebration of the completion of the Reisner Substation will be held at noon on Friday with a ribbon cutting coordinated by the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce. This is a major infrastructure investment for Webster City, and the community is invited to attend.

This will be held at 2890 Millards Lane in the southeast industrial park.

The Reisner Substation is a new, large-scale electrical facility designed to replace the aging Passwaters substation and support increased power demand throughout the community.

Located in the southeast industrial park, the substation will serve both industrial and residential needs while strengthening the city’s electrical grid.

This critical infrastructure project connects with local 69kV transmission lines and is part of a broader effort that includes underground electrical improvements. Construction began in 2025, with equipment testing scheduled to conclude in early 2026. The substation has been built with future growth in mind and is designed to be expandable to accommodate long-term population growth and industrial expansion.

The completion of the Reisner Substation represents a significant investment in Webster City’s future and continued economic development.

Community members, business leaders, and local officials are encouraged to attend and help celebrate this important milestone.

Starting at $3.46/week.
