New Reisner electrical substation celebrated with ribbon cutting Tuesday

The official ribbon cutting of the Reisner electrical substation held Tuesday was a celebration of more than 20 years of planning and work by the City of Webster City. Adam Dickinson, superintendent of the line department, spoke briefly, explaining that the Reisner substation is named for H.E. Reisner, who was a long-time city employee and a former superintendent of the line department. His daughter is Ann Smith, who also is a long-time city employee.
Those attending, in the front seated are Dedra Nerland, Adam Dickinson and Ann Smith, cutting the ribbon, Beth Chelesvig and Theresa Rotschafer, former city manager of Webster City. The entire line department was on hand for the ribbon cutting which includes Brady Newman, Brody Berninghaus, Dana Casey, Doug McCollough, Kooper Jondal, Russell Mourton, Ryan Orton, Derrick Barnes and Wilson Lofstedt, as were many of the city staff, Mike Finnegan of Cornbelt Power, Mayor John Hawkins,City Manager John Harrenstein, Webster City Chamber of Commerce Exeutive Director Jamie Griffith, the Chamber ambassadors and a representative from Joni Ernst's office.
