Hamilton County Supervisors approve lease with Iowa Specialty Clinic
The future of the property at 1900 Superior St.is one step closer to having a tenant, as the Hamilton County Supervisors approved a lease agreement with Iowa Specialty Hospital and Clinic.
The agreement has to have final approval yet from the board for ISHC.
A resolution supporting the hotel-motel tax grant application from the Hamilton County Growth Partnership was also approved during the meeting. This is to fund the Keep Iowa Beautiful — Hometown Pride program, which can assist every community in Hamilton County with projects and programs they determine. If chosen, the Hometown Pride program will create a position which will help find volunteers and leaders in each community to put together plans to address their local needs.
Supervisor Rick Young expressed his hope that every town in Hamilton County will approve this project. Resolutions from each community will improve the chances of the program coming to Hamilton County. Only one county in the state is funded with this program each year.
A date was also set for a public hearing on the maximum tax levy for the county. This will be held on Wednesday, March 25 at 6 p.m.
Reports from the department heads included the prediction from Brian Lammers that the golf course would be open within the next two to three weeks.
With the warmer weather, Tim Zahn also reminded the supervisors that there will be a statewide tornado drill on March 28.
