As part of the upcoming Jay Nugent Band Reunion, the community is invited to purchase tickets to attend an Al Welsh Orchestra social hour and dance.

It will be held on April 17 starting at 6 p.m. at the Briggs Woods Conference Center.

The Al Welsh Orchestra, specializing in Big Band music, originated in Webster City and is now directed by Steve Cook who graduated from WCHS with the Class of 1977.

Former band director, Jay and Cheri Nugent and band members from classes of 1974-1981 will be attending as part of their reunion weekend.

Limited seating/tickets are available for $35 single/$65 a pair. This will include light appetizers and dessert. There will be a cash bar available.

Payment is due by April 1 by mailing a check to Miriam Carlson, 1819 390th St., Stanhope, Iowa 50595 or Venmo @miriam-carlson.
