The Webster City Middle School was able to send 10 outstanding student musicians to participate in the 2026 Middles and Music Honor Band, hosted at South Hamilton Middle School/High School on Saturday.

The Middles and Music Honor Band brings together talented middle school band students from across North Central Iowa for a day of rehearsals and performance under the direction of guest conductors. Selection for the honor band is based on musical skill, preparation, and dedication to excellence.

Webster City Middle School Band Director, Mr. Wesselink, praised the group’s efforts.

“I am incredibly proud of these students and the dedication they show every day in rehearsals. Honor Band selection is not only about musical ability, but also preparation, responsibility and dedication. These musicians represent Webster City with excellence, and it’s exciting to see their hard work recognized at the honor band level,” he said.

Being chosen for this ensemble is a significant honor and reflects each student’s hard work, commitment and passion for music. Webster City Middle School and its band program celebrate these students for their achievement and for the positive way they represent their school and community.

Starting at $3.46/week.
