Hamilton County AdvoCATES awarded grant
Hamilton County Animal AdvoCATES– HCAAC has been selected to receive an annual grant award of $1,000 from Paws on Your Heart Pet Rescue Support.
HCAAC is the 501-C-3 nonprofit organization which works through the physical building of the Cat Hut in Webster City. Through their efforts, they promote responsible cat care, and work to protect, rehome and spay and neuter cats in the Webster City area. Funds received by the HCAAC are used to operate The Cat Hut.
This grant will fund the purchase of microchips for community cats as a part of their Trap/Neuter/Release — TNR program in 2026. The TNR program is an ongoing program. Microchipping community cats greatly increases the likelihood of identification, reunification if displaced and accurate tracking which strengthens Hamilton County Animal AdvoCATES’ ability to protect vulnerable cats and improves outcomes for the animals they serve and their caretakers.
