Young re-elected chairman of Hamilton County Supervisors
Rick Young was elected chairman of the Hamilton County Supervisors Friday at the special organizational meeting for the county on Friday morning.
April Ely was elected chairman pro-tem.
Throughout the meeting, resolutions were approved to set standard operating procedures for handling the business of the county.
Seven resolutions were approved, including several concerning the county’s finances. Among those items were ensuring payments were made on a timely basis for basic budgeted items, making financial transfers when needed, the investment of funds and which financial institutions are to handle the county deposits.
The supervisors also approved the appointments needed to serve on a number of local and regional boards and commissions during the meeting. The following appointments were presented for review, re-appointments and continuations.

The supervisors will continue to meet the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m. and the county courthouse hours will remain 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the exception of the Engineer’s Office, which is open from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
