WCHS was represented at the NCIBA Honor Band last Saturday by Delaney Lyons, Ava Ely, Ava Orr, Jackson Meyer, Regan Blaisdell, and Gabbie Sebert. These students were selected as the top in the district. They had a day of rehearsals followed by a concert in the evening. At the honor band, Jackson Meyer earned runner up for the Major Landers Scholarship. He spent the morning completing a music theory test, performing a solo, sight reading, and participating in an interview. Jackson was awarded $400 in scholarship funds to assist in his education as he pursues a degree in music education.
