Wide variety of other Christmas in the City events on Saturday provide something for everyone: Plan to spend the day in Webster City

Christmas in the city events begin at 8 a.m. with SNAP Fitness hosting an Ugly Sweater Bootcamp. Located at 806 Seneca Street, anyone whearing an ugly sweater will be admitted free to join in the fun activities.

From 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., HyVee will be serving breakfast with a special early appearance of Santa during the morning. in their dining room. HyVee is located at 823 Second Street in Webster City.

At 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., The Grinch will be looking for new victims of his miserly ways at Empower Nutrition, located at 916 Superior Street, in Suite 108.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Cat Hut, located at 1118 2nd Street, will host a Holiday Henna experience.

Also from 10 a.m. to noon will be Christmas cookie decorating at the Kendall Young Library, at 1201 Willson Avenue.

Starting at 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., the Jane Young House will again host the their “Festival of Trees”. The kickoff of this event will be on Friday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

From noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, the Wilson Brewer Park will be filled with the nostalgia of Christmas. Five different activities will be held in the log cabins, schoolhouse and church.

Located at 220 Ohio Street, this historic property will feature the following events:

View Santa’s Toy Workshop in another cabin

Enjoy live Christmnas music by country singer Spencer Suchan while viewing the vintage nativity display in the Mulberry Center church.

Enjoy a vintage Christmas Story as told in the country school house.

And cap it off with hot cocoa and cookies.

Events are sponsored by WCF Financial bank, Hamilton County Development, Advantage Pro Inc. and the Iowa Central Community College.

The afternoon starts off with the Candy Cane hike at 2 p.m. in the Briggs Woods Park, starting from Shelter House 2.

Also at 2 p.m. will be a new movie at the Webster Theater, at 610 2nd Street, featuring “Daddy’s Home 2”.

From 4 to 7 p.m., the American Legion will be serving Cinnamon rolls and chili at 726 Second Street for a freewill donation.

At 6:30 p.m., the First Congregational UCC Church located at 1000 Willson Avenue, will host a live nativity in front of the church.

At 6:30 ap.m., the Wildcat Distillery will have live music provide by Jake McVey
