Pack the Patty Wagon Food and Fund Drive is Saturday

The Hamilton County Peace Officers Association hope to refill the food pantries throughout Hamilton County by packing the patty wagon full of food and funding to assist the community members with food shortages on Saturday, Nov. 22.

The cookout, food and fund drive will be held at the Webster City HyVee, located at 823 2nd St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Webster City Police Chief Steve Hanson and Hamilton County Sheriff Alex Pruismann are vying for the chance to put a “pie in the face” of the other officer. The honor will go to the first one who has $1500 in their bucket at the event.

Items recommended for the drive include canned food, non-perishable food and hygiene products. HyVee will be running sales inside the store to help with the event.

All items donated will help stock the Hamilton County Food Pantries. Funds raised through the free-will donation will be used to support the Hamilton County Peace Officer’s Association Santa’s Helpers Program.

Pack the Patty Wagon is sponsored by HyVee and Webster City Custom Meats.

Starting at $3.46/week.
