Early voting continues at Hamilton County Courthouse
Election day is Tuesday. Those who have absentee ballots or wish to vote early can do so at the Hamilton County Courthouse.
Residents are reminded of the following information necessary to vote, as noted on the Hamilton County auditor’s website for the city and school elections in Hamilton County.
The polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4. Voters must vote in their precinct of residence.
Please read this notice carefully to determine your correct voting location. Voting locations may have changed for some voters.

Pre-registered voters are required to provide an approved form of identification at the polling place before receiving and casting a regular ballot. Voters who are not pre-registered-such as voters registering to vote on election day and voters changing precincts must also provide proof of residence.
A voter who is unable to provide an approved form of identification (or prove residence if required)
1. May have the voter’s identity/residence attested to by another registered voter in the precinct;
2. Prove identity and residence using Election Day Registration documents or;
3. Cast a provisional ballot and provide proof of identity/residence at the county auditor’s office by noon on Monday, November 10.
The Hamilton County elections for 2025 are for school board, city council, library boards and the Fuller Hall trustees in addition to two public measures.
These public measures are for the South Hamilton Community School District and the Iowa Central Community College.
