For 23 years, area women have had a night devoted to them.

Well, it’s here again: Ladies Night Out 2025 is Thursday.

When Ladies Night Out businesses open their doors, it won’t just be another shopping day. Ladies Night Out is a social event for mothers, daughters, sisters, friends — and even the men in their lives.

It’s a fun night where merchandise and entertainment combine to make an event worthy for those starting to change their wardrobes to fall and winter, for early Christmas shopping, and for retailers to showcase their products and their personal customer service.

The retail business committee members of the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce were buzzing with excitement this week, anxious to see who comes out to shop and enjoy the beautiful fall weather forecast that will welcome anyone to Webster City.

Musician Spencer Suchan will be performing from 4 to 7 p.m. at the corner of Second Street and Willson Avenue in front of Country Twist Boutique, musical entertainment sponsor. Country Twist, 603 Second Street, and its new neighbor, Rustic Daisy Gifts & Home, 605 Second Street, will be welcoming visitors to downtown.

Across the street, Gilbert Jewelers, 604 Second Street, will be open for fine jewelry browsing. Did you know it also offers selective jewelry and watch repair?

Osweiler’s Women’s Fashions, 625 Second Street, will roll out the welcome mat, inviting visitors to shop in its iconic showroom.

Altogether, more than 35 businesses will participate in the annual event, according to the Chamber organizers.

Some of those businesses are pop-up businesses, which will be hosted by multiple locations downtown. They include:

— Brick & Bloom Nutrition, located at 713 Des Moines Street, which will add three pop-up businesses: Grace ‘n Mor, Mandala Moonstone and Rodeo Rose Designs.

— The Chamber office at 628 Second Street will include Marissa’s Bakery, Tastefully Simple — Shelly Jacobi, and Scentsy — Carolyn Elsberry.

— Wildcat Distilling Co., 626 Second Street, will host Gardens, Flowers & Trees with Alison Studer, Back 40 & Company, and Shelli’s Glass Bead Bracelets.

— Interior Spaces, 631 Second Street, will also host Pampered Chef — Cindi Sweedler.

— All Cultures Equal, 637 Second Street, will host Creations from Sorrow Made by Loving Hands, Dave’s Coffee Cake and Country Oven Home Bakery.

— The Webster Theater at 610 Second Street will host Sacred Sarandipity.

Businesses off the beaten path include Bomgaars, 2403 Superior Street; the Gift Shop at the Van Diest Medical Center, 2350 Hospital Drive; and Lee Mae Boutique and Empower Nutrition, 916 Superior Street, suite 108.

The stores open at 10 a.m. Thursday, with pop-up businesses opening at 5 p.m. The businesses will stay open until 8 p.m.

Bargain hunters will also want to note that Heart N Home, 1423 Superior Street, which closed its business earlier this year when owner Diane Orton retired, will be open Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a tag sale as the store continues to reduce what’s left of its inventory. Cash and check only. The tag sale continues Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
