The Webster City Fire Department says it is “fired up” for Fire Prevention Prevention Week, which began Monday. This week, members of WC Fire will be spending time with every student from preschool to fifth grade — and into part of next week — to ensure they know how to be safe when it comes to fires. Pictured is Capt. Brandon Hayes who is explaining to the students how, as a firefighter, he has to wear a mask that hooks up to a cylinder of air to be able to breathe when he is in a fire.
