Here’s an outline of the plot

Director Ann McLaughlin dropped into character at Morning Glory Coffee recently. It's a promotion for Webster City Community Theatre's "Cafe Mocha Murders."

Director Ann McLaughlin is ready for “Cafe Mocha Murders” as it returns Friday to the Webster City Community Theatre performing Arts Center, 1001 Willson Avenue, Webster City.

Curtain time is 7 p.m.

The play blends intrigue, laughter and a shot of caffeine.

This is the first directing experience for McLaughlin, with Sally Evans as assistant director.

The full cast includes Rachel Derrig as Soma, Jack Barner as Neil, Kathy Oliver as Beverly, KeVon Edwards as Ian, Reba Stein as Ivy, Amelia Oliver as Mel, Max Anderson as Ben, Gayette Grimm as Cathi, and Aidan Haman as Eddie the pizza guy.

There are still three opportunities to see the show.

Performances are:

— Friday, October 10, at 7 p.m.

— Saturday, October 11, at 7 p.m.

— Sunday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m.
