Authorities identify man found deceased at home
Authorities have released the name of the man whose body was found at a home in Webster City early Monday morning.
Osmar Matul Alvarado, 35, of Webster City, was discovered early Monday morning.
Webster City Police Chief Steve Hanson said in a media release that authorities believe there was no foul play involved.
“Preliminary findings indicate that the cause of death was due to medical issues,” Hanson stated. “There were no circumstances identified during the investigation that would lead investigators to believe anything criminal or suspicious occurred.”
Police were dispatched to a home at 1403 Des Moines Street, Webster City, around 5:30 a.m. Monday, October 20.
“Upon arrival, officers located a deceased adult male inside the residence,” Hanson said in a previous media release.
The home is owned by Keyri Dayani Ramirez Argueta, according to online Hamilton County Assessor’s records.
WCPD was assisted at the scene by Van Diest Medical Center, the Hamilton
County Sheriff’s Office, and the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Ongoing investigative assistance is being provided by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
