The last day to file paperwork to run for office in Hamilton County is on Thursday, September 18.

Two documents, the Affidavit of Candidacy and the Nomination Petition for non-partisan offices need to be completed to run for school board, library board or city council positions.

Both these forms are available on the Iowa Secretary of State’s website or by going to the school administration office, the city clerk’s or the Hamilton County auditor’s office.

Paperwork must be turned in by 5 p.m. September 18.
