BLAIRSBURG — A Northeast Hamilton Elementary School fundraiser for Music and the Arts at the Blairsburg Opera House on Friday, September 12, will feature NEH Hall of Famer Chris Furman and his band Naked Baitfish.

The event will raise money to be used for the music and arts programs at NEH Elementary, according to organizer Keith Halleland.

The event will also give attendees the chance to meet Sarah Nachazel, NEH’s new principal. She will share her thoughts on the school year.

Proceeds from the event will be given to Nachazel for use at NEH.

This event is from 6 to 9 p.m.

A meet and greet from 6 to 7 p.m. will feature Nachazel.

From 7 to 9 p.m., Furman’s band will rock the Opera House.

Entrance is by freewill donation. There will be free popcorn, snacks, pop and water.

Furman is an Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, for the years 2013 and 2023.
