Looking ahead to our nation’s 250th anniversary, what better way to celebrate than a trip to Washington, D.C.?

After 30 years of student trips, Patsy Brock will be leading a trip for adults to the capital city on April 10-13, 2026.

Visiting the many war memorials, presidential memorials, and museums will be the same as has been done for the student trips.

There are many exciting things planned for the anniversary year and this will be a chance to see some of the special exhibits and the play, “1776” in Ford’s Theater.

There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, September 30, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Sampson Room at Fuller Hall, 625 Bank Street, Webster City, for those who want more information.

If you’ve never been to D.C. or it has been a few years, this will be a great time to go.

Participants in this trip will fly out of Des Moines, stay in a nice hotel, have coach transportation while there, a tour guide, and have most meals included.

It is recommended that registrations are in by November 4 to ensure a seat at the play “1776.”
