VDMC’s Senior Life Solutions program welcomes new therapist

Van Diest Medical Center has welcomed Jordan Sisson, LMHC, as the new therapist at the Senior Life Solutions program.
Van Diest Medical Center’s Senior Life Solutions program is an intensive outpatient group therapy program designed to meet the unique needs of individuals typically 65 and older experiencing depression or anxiety related to life changes that are often associated with aging.
As program therapist, Sisson, will be responsible for providing therapeutic services for patients utilizing group, individual, and family therapy sessions. They will focus on quality patient care and provision of services ordered by a physician.
Sisson earned her Master of Science in Education at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake. Prior to joining the Senior Life Solutions team, she worked as a substance abuse counsellor.
“I am looking forward to being the support and encourager that they need to feel safe in addressing their mental health needs,” Sisson said.
Anyone can refer a patient to the program, including a physician, family member, the patient, or another healthcare professional.
