K. Stein Designs is not a new business, but owner Kristin Pergande is new to main street Webster City.

Pergande, owner of K.Stein Designs, moved her business to 739 Second Street where Designer Graphics once was located. She purchased the building in May.

She had been operating her business out of a three-stall garage for the past seven years and has been looking for a location for the past five years.

“We were really busy prior to the building purchase,” she said. “Now that there’s a store front, it feels like there is more credibility.”

Pergande is married to Chris Pergande, a journeyman who is also in the armed service and is currently deployed to Syria. They have a 5-year-old son, who is entering kindergarten this fall.

K. Stein Designs offers the same services it offered before the move.

“We still do all the signage, decals, engraving, clothing, Lynx gear, advertising and design,” she said. “I’m proud to be the local printshop.”

Pergande attended school in Webster City until first grade, then lived in Eagle Grove until she established her business in 2018. Her husband grew up in Webster City and now Kristin’s parents have moved to the Webster City area.
